REFLECTION

The role of the teacher in education is not only to talk, but also to teach, compute and record grades, or to report or submit them to authority. What distinguishes a teacher is their passion and dedication to service, as well as putting students at the core of the classroom.
The various activities provided by Field Study 2 prompted us to reflect on the various methods used in the teaching and learning process. There may be no best method, but what is considered best is one that works and provides results. With all of these activities, we were able to identify various problems that could arise during the teaching-learning process, due to the fact that we were in a new learning environment. That being said, despite the fact that we are forced to adapt to the new learning model of online learning, learning should be prioritized. This is where teachers' roles are brought into the challenge.
The most important aspect of the teaching-learning process is to make it safe and conducive. Given that we are in an online learning environment, creating a safe and conducive learning environment is essential. As professional educators, we must create a platform that makes students feel safe and secure, especially when studying. Making students feel as if their opinions matter is a good way to get them more involved in the learning process.
Moreover, while teachers are creating a safe and conducive learning environment, they must also manage the classroom and maintain discipline. As pre-service teachers, we are fortunate to conduct interviews regarding some activities, and we are also fortunate to interview people who have expertise in this field of teaching.
When it comes to creating an effective method of classroom management, we must first consider the learners. According to the notion, a teacher is not a teacher if he or she cannot manage an effective classroom. As teachers, we must learn to connect and relate our classroom educational targets to the abilities of our students. We also learned the importance of creating a well-written lesson plan in field study 2. We are also given the opportunity to do a demonstration teaching, which is astounding and serves as yet another accomplishment for us as a group and as future teachers. Furthermore, we learned various strategies for delivering a lesson, particularly in an online setting. A good selection of digital tools to use will greatly improve lesson delivery because proper selection and usage will certainly lead to effective learning. Furthermore, we have become acquainted with the various DEPED school forms.
All of this will serve as our armor as we face the realities of the teaching profession. It aided us in a variety of ways, particularly in the development of our skills and competencies through the various activities provided.
Indeed, field study 2 has prepared us for the forthcoming practice teaching.
