SG1: AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT IN CLASSROOM. Teachers have a  significant role in teaching and learning process and one of it, is assessing student’s learning. Learning doesn’t just stop by acquiring knowledge, terms or new information, we can see its essence once this learnings are put into action or are used in our daily living. Assessment is define as the tool to measures one’s lrearning and growth. Teachers giving assessment doesn’t just mean about scores or grades or the learnings being assessed does not only pertains to numerical value, but  assessments are given for student’s to improve aspects where they think they are weak and also develop their strengths in terms of skills and understnding in the teaching and learning process. Teachers  also need to follow or make as a guide the five characteristics of good  student learning outcomes for better attainment of goals. Following the 10 principles for building a high quality system for assessment can help Teachers and also students to achieve the set desired outcome. As a future teacher, we can use both traditional and authentic forms of assessment for moulding and preparing the student’s in dealing in the real-world scenarios.

SG2: PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT.  Since elementary grade part of assesing students learning is just by giving projects or outputs, and non-stop test, and upon learning in this module, assessment does not just focus on only one competencies, but it also introduce the teaching and learning process into a more experiential learning, the performance based assessment. Performance based assessment are the assessments given by teachers that measures students demonstration of their knowldge and undesrtanding, it is like, they are putting it into action. Performance based assesment can be product based assesment or process based assesment. Product-based performance assessment focuses on the product or the final output while process based performance assessment focuses on the process in forming the actual task. Examples of these kinds of assessments which are true to life experince, portfolio and bigbook or projects for product-based performance based assessments and for process based perfomance assessments laboratory activities, demo teaching and a lot more. In assessing performance of the students ,it also corresponds on how teachers will evaluate these kinds of assessment. Number one tool used by teachers in evaluating students work is the rubric, wherein in every criteria given, there are corresponding points. As a future teacher, for clear understanding of desired outcomes, or your expected outcome, state your clear and specific directions for students to easily grasps what teachers want them to perform or produce.

SG3: AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT OF THE AFFECTIVE DOMAIN. When learning comes to our mind, we think that learning is mostly about mental or cognitive function, but it is a big no, learning is not just about cognitive or mental function. Learning also develop affective domain as just what Bloom's taxonomy implies. Affective domains are the attitudes and behaviors students learned and developed although out the learning process. Affective domains talks about our feelings and emotions on how we deal with things emotionally and on how we respond in the given situation. As future teachers it is important to always include in our learning objectives the activities that can develop students emotions and behaviors towards learning, we got the chance to observe every students behavior for us to know where we could do something that can benefit your students equally. Together with our role to impart knowledge, teachers are also termed as students second parent who can observed and encourage them to strive more.

SG4: COMMUNICATING AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT RESULTS. The role of a teacher doesn't just end in teaching and assessing students learnings. It is also the role of a teacher to give feedback on each assessment results. It is a must to a teacher to have a proper talk or communication on the stakeholders involve, especially students and their parents. One of my memorable experience talking about this topic , way back high school, during parents and teachers meeting, parents are everywhere complaining why does their child has a lower grade, why is that their child does not have honor and one of my teacher says, " Nanay, heto po ang lahat ng resulta sa lahat ng mga pinapagawa ko" and the complaining mother got silent while walking back to her seat. Sometimes we can't blame parents to act like that, because based again on my own experience, some have favoritism. I really admire how the teachers reacts, she came prepared, and I mentally note to myself, once I become a teacher, always have in your hand the records of all your students performance or scores for future purposes or bases.

SG5: assessment of one's teaching practice. Assessment is not just done by teachers to their students, but students also assessed their teachers. Improvement is better than staying in your usual routine in teaching without making sure if your students gained the knowledge or not. In assessing teachers performance, there is peer evaluation and teacher evaluation. Why does evaluation involved in such professionals just like teachers? Change is everywhere, there are approaches that are applicable today that might become useless someday. Teachers are being evaluated for improvement of their performance in teaching and in handling the class. This kind of process makes the higher rank in educational institutions to monitor his/her subordinates knowing if their role as a teacher is implied. Another one is evaluation by peers or colleagues. By this teachers might discover something new to their way of teaching. This kind of feedback coming from other teachers are not intend to boast or hurt others feelings, but it is a sign of a helping hand willing to help other for the betterment and improvement in the institution.
